On January 31, the Belleville Senators won 4-3 in a game where they were out-shot 43 to 17. The Sens started off the game with a 1-0 lead at the end of the first with Jordan Murray cashing in for his 5th goal of the season. They then came out of the 2nd period with a 3-1 lead with Josh Norris scoring his 23rd of the season and Christian Jaros scoring his 2nd of the season to make it 3-0. With 2 seconds left in the 2nd period Kevin Lynch scored off a rebound after the initial shot was stopped by Joey Daccord to make it 3-1. The Sens started off the 3rd period with Logan Brown getting his 6th of the season putting the Sens up 4-1. But, Laval wasn’t going to let the Sens get away with this one easily as they struck back with 2 goals, one coming from Phil Varone and the other from Riley Barber. Unfortunately, for the Rockets it wasn’t enough as they fell short of the Sens by 1 goal. Joey Daccord recorded 40 saves on 43 shots while Cayden Primeau came up with 13 saves on 17 shots. The Belleville Senators will clash against the Laval Rockets one more time on this road trip on February 1st before going to Toronto to play the Marlies which will be the last game of this road trip.
