
Filip Gustavsson of the Belleville Senators has been named CCM/AHL player of the month for January
Filip Gustavsson, the 21 year old from Skelleftea, Sweden was named CCM/AHL goaltender of the month. Gustavsson has so far played 19 games, has a 12-5-2 record, has a 3.24 GAA and has played 1092 minutes this season. During the month of January he put up a 4-0-1 record with a 1.78 GAA and a .942 save percentage. On January 20 he achieved his first AHL shutout against the Rockford Icehogs in a 3-0 win. In 2018, Gustavsson won a silver medal with Sweden and was nominated the top goaltender at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship.
The Player Of The Month of January was Iowa Wild forward Gerald Mayhew and the Rookie Of The Month was the Springfield Thunderbirds forward Owen Tippett.
