
The Belleville Sens scored 5 unanswered goals in a massive comeback to beat the Marlies 7-4
The Belleville Senators took home another victory on Friday to add to their point total. The Sens started off the game down 1-0 after Pontus Aberg made a move to the hash marks and sniped it home on the power play to give the Marlies a 1-0 lead. Later on in the period, Josh Norris fired a shot towards the net that was tipped by Jordan Szwarz to tie up the game at 1s. They left the first at a 1-1 score.
The Marlies started the scoring in the second with Mason Marchment scoring a tip in to give the Marlies a 2-1 lead. A few minutes later Marchment got his second of the game off a one-timer from a Nick Petan pass to the front of the net to give the Marlies a 2 goal lead.
Michael Carcone scored to reduce the deficit to 1 goal but the Marlies struck back with Mason Marchment getting his third goal of the game to get his second hat trick of the season making the score 4-2. With 3 seconds left in the game, Josh Norris rushed the puck from the other end of the rink and tucked the puck in between the legs of Kasimir Kaskisuo to make it 4-3 as they left the 2nd period
The Belleville Senators got the first goal of the 3rd early on a ankle breaking deke from Erik Brannstrom to tie the game 4-4. Klimchuk scored to give the Sens the lead not long after Brannstrom tied the game. Max Lajoie took a 2 min penalty a few minutes after the go-ahead goal. During the penalty, the Sens took a 3 on 0 rush and J.C Beaudin scored in what was officially ruled no goal but the Sens challenged the play and the call was overturned giving them a 6-4 lead. The Marlies then pulled their goalie with 3 minutes left and the Sens took advantage of it and Parker Kelly scored the empty net goal which closed off the game as the Sens beat the Marlies 7-4 in the battle of Ontario.
The Sens will play the Laval Rockets on Saturday
